What kinds of projects, tasks, or challenges do you typically partner with nonprofits on?
The types of projects or tasks that I partner with nonprofits on are: strategic planning, strategic fund development planning, organizational assessments, board training, grant writing and grant research as well as capacity building workshops for board and staff. Several challenges typically addressed include: comprehensive strategic planning, diversification of funding, staffing, board and staff communication, board diversity and engagement.
Why would someone choose to work with you?
I offer over 30 years of hands‐on experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, organizational development and project management. For 20 years I have served as an instructor for the Duke University Certificate Program in Nonprofit Management and served as an adjunct instructor for the School of Public and International Affairs Master of Public Administration Program at North Carolina State University. Firsthand experience as an executive director and development director enhances my ability to effectively address the needs of clients. I bring a unique blend of experience in both the nonprofit and government sectors and have a strong background in staff development, training and team building.
