What kinds of projects, tasks, or challenges do you typically partner with nonprofits on?
I provide HR services tailored to support the needs of small- to medium-sized nonprofits.
As a nonprofit leader, you hold a massive responsibility to take care of your team, but you’re not given the time or resources to support them properly!
You have a lot on your plate, and HR issues can be complicated and time-consuming.
Meanwhile are you seeing any of the following in your organization?
- High workloads with tasks falling through the cracks despite the team's best efforts
- Top performers not feeling appreciated/valued while low performers are not getting the feedback to improve
- Tasks taking longer than they should due to a lack of clarity on who owns whatÂ
- Workarounds and work duplication to avoid employee conflicts
- People working in silosÂ
- Limited innovation because it’s not clear how decisions get made
THESE ARE ALL SIGNS YOU HAVE AN HR PROBLEM!
A thoughtful HR strategy enables your team to bring their best thinking and work toward your mission! All of your people-related processes, from basic compliance to culture change, can be aligned and oriented to meet your strategic goals. I can help you stabilize, support, and sustain your team so you can create an environment where everyone can thrive!
Services:
- HR advisory calls to talk through urgent issues
- HR Audit to understand current state and prioritize needs
- Project-based HR support such as employee handbooks, org charts, manager training, etc.
- Fractional HR leadership for embedded, on-going support
I work best with small- to medium-sized nonprofits with 3-50 employees who may not have the budget for a full-time experienced HR leader on staff but, like any organization, are experiencing people-related challenges. If this sounds like you, chances are this will be a good match.
Why would someone choose to work with you?
I can support you in solving people-related challenges in your organization. I’m a trained HR leader but much more than your typical HR background. My 20-year career spans nonprofit, philanthropy, and HR. Having worked in Venture Capital, I recognize the value companies place on people as their greatest asset. At the same time, as a nonprofit leader and former grantmaker, I’ve seen first-hand the sacrifices nonprofit workers make to fulfill their mission. Retaining and supporting employees is essential for success, yet those who tackle society’s toughest challenges often receive the least support. My vast breadth of leadership roles has allowed me to bring HR best practices across a variety of sectors, all in service of your mission. It would be my pleasure to partner with you to maximize your impact and create a joyful and effective workplace where you and your team can thrive.
