About Me and My Work
What kinds of projects, tasks, or challenges do you typically partner with nonprofits on?
I typically work with clients across the U.S. in two areas that I have personal hands-on experience in - fundraising and marketing / communications. I provide interim and contract services to nonprofits of all organizational types, sizes and backgrounds, giving them the tools and resources they need to grow their efforts to the next level.
My fundraising experience includes grant writing (national, regional and local foundations), foundation / corporate research and applications, individual donor work, fundraising infrastructure development (donor databases, stewardship reports, fundraising plans and calendars). My marketing / communications experience includes materials for fundraising outreach, magazines, annual reports, internal communications pieces, fundraising solicitation pieces, media reporting software implementation, marketing / communications calendars, and more.

Why would someone choose to work with you?
I'm a Certified Fundraiser who has a long track of hands-on success within the nonprofit world. I have 20+ years of full-time nonprofit work, in addition to 10+ years of providing contract and freelance services outside of my full-time roles. I've also worked as a front-line staff member, in the C-suite and as a board member, so I understand how all levels of an organization need to work together. My career successes include helping to steward and solicit more than $50 million in revenue during my career, successfully working on national grants, implementing low-cost donor databases and fundraising structures that save staff time, and developing marketing materials for organizations of all sizes. I've also turned around three fundraising programs, moving them from deficits to growth.
