What kinds of projects, tasks, or challenges do you typically partner with nonprofits on?
My work with nonprofits typically falls into one of the following five buckets:
1. I train and support supervisors of all levels of experience; 2. I coach executive and other organizational leaders including emerging leaders; 3. I work with organizations to build human resources practices and systems that reflect organizational values (compensation structures, on-boarding processes, for example); 4. I provide HR office hours - a place for staff and leaders to find thought partnership and coaching around personnel and other human resources issues; 5. I facilitate team-building, values-clarifying, and other processes and convenings.
Why would someone choose to work with you?
Many of my clients have limited, often just transactional, HR support. I bring senior-level experience and can supplement that. Having spent most of my 30+ year career working inside organizations, I have lived experience as a leader, supervisor, and team member. I know first-hand the joy those experiences can bring as well as the challenges. While I take the work seriously, I have a sense of humor and when appropriate integrate fun and laughter. I am a strategic, practical thought partner and coach; a creative and engaging trainer.
